KitaabShoppe at a glance.
KitaabShoppe is a B2C e-commerce platform that takes the annual stress out of back-to-school shopping — letting parents buy books, uniforms, and stationery curated to their child's exact school and grade.
The numbers behind the back-to-school season.
School supplies, sized for one stressful month a year.
Buying school supplies is a yearly ordeal. Parents juggle different supplier lists across siblings, uniforms change by grade, and book editions are updated every year — so a generic store full of choices only adds to the confusion. The client needed a platform where the school-and-grade combination, not an endless catalogue, drives the entire shopping experience.
A school-first shopping experience.
School + grade drives the catalogue.
We designed a school-and-grade-first journey that pre-filters every catalogue down to exactly what a given child needs. Bulk 'pack' orders, sibling support, and a streamlined checkout strip away the cognitive load of the back-to-school rush, while order operations were instrumented so partner schools can fulfil locally.
Battle-tested e-commerce plumbing.
12 technologies across 3 layers — every choice still in production, none chosen for cleverness.

Forty schools and growing.
KitaabShoppe rolled out to more than 40 partner schools in its first year. Parents fill a complete cart in under three minutes, and back-to-school repeat purchase rates run materially higher — around 62% — than the generic e-commerce platforms it replaced.
Let’s scope it — fast.
A 20-minute call to size the work, the timeline, and a fixed price. No pitch — just whether custom is worth it for you, and what it would cost.
